Broken Event created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for Broken Event’s Web site and Products.

General Processing

IP Addresses

Broken Event can collect IP addresses of visitors of the website or users of our software. We never track individual user by their IP-addresses but they may be used in mass for statistics compilation.

We may apply geolocation to the IP-addresses collected, but not with more than city-wise precision.

Nicknames

Any username (manually entered or otherwise acquired by Broken Event) is considered as a nickname, not the real name. Even if a nickname is equal to the user's real name, it is still assumed to be fake name.

Such nicknames are only used for the convenience of communication or to resolve technical issues. We cannot and will not attempt to map nickname of the user to their real name.

Web Site

Broken Event may collect IP addresses, browser, hardware and software information about website visitors. If such information is collected, it is only used to resolve website's technical issues or to compile anonymous statistics.

Broken Event does not compile different pieces of information about a single user into one and do not track individual users with this information.

Cookies

Website does not use cookies, with exception of some features, like purchases, which are technically impossible to develop without this technology. All such webpages have appropriate notifications.

Website does not use any technologies to track users and does not uses cookies for this purpose.

Order/Registration Forms

We collect contact information (like email address and nickname), but NOT financial information (like account or credit card numbers). This information is used to perform the purchase or technical support. Broken Event does not sell or otherwise disclose this information to third parties.

Any credit card processing is managed by the certified third parties and uses their own privacy policies.

External Links

The site contains links to other sites. Broken Event is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites.

Products

Paid Products

Our paid products can collect the system identification (not user’s personal) information to identify the user and check their legal status.

Collected information is:

  • Username on end-user’s computer (described in "Nicknames" section).
  • Operating system build number and install date (but NOT OS serial number).
  • Operating system installation unique identifier.

This information is only used to protect our software from illegal usage and to protect end-users from fraud. This information will only be used with automated identification process and Broken Event will not analyze, process somehow else or disclose it to third parties.

Secondary Features

All Broken Event products may connect to the website to implement additional features, such as update check.

User can block such requests and, thus, refuse to use the secondary features.

These requests don't contain any user information, except their IP address (described in "IP Addresses" section) and version of the software used.

Problem Reporting

In case of problems, Broken Event's software can ask user to send an error report. This will help us to fix problems in our software and to make it better. In each particular case the user can refuse to send the report.

Such reports contain additional techincal information. This information will be used by Broken Event only to fix problems in our software. User can attach additional information to the report if they wish and such information will be considered as private and confidential.
